The "True Loves" video was directed by Young Replicant, an LA based production team who has also created videos for M83 and Baths. "The picture is an homage to our favorite Russian and eastern-european cult sci-fi. French artist Moebius and other Metal Hurlant were too big visual influences," explains director Alex Takacs. "It's about mindscapes and the retention of true love."
"True Loves" is one of ten stand out tracks on Hooray For Earth's debut album. Lead singer Noel Heroux wrote, recorded, and produced approximately 90% of the new album, with bassist Christopher Principe and guitarist/live synthist Gary Benacquista peppering parts in a few sessions and drummer Joseph Ciampini adding two years of rooftop drum tracking. Mixed by Chris Coady (Beach House, Blonde Redhead, Delorean, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, TV On The Radio), the album might as easily be a train connection to the exciting mind of Heroux.
