Huawei, one of the leading telecoms solutions providers, on Thursday, signed a five-year management service agreement with Vodafone Ghana.

Under the agreement, Huawei would be responsible for the Operations and Care of the Vodafone Mobile, Microwave, Synchronous Digital Hierarchy and Fixed Switching networks.

A command issued and signed by Mr Harry Yuan, Media Relations Officer of Huawei, on Wednesday, said the network planning and optimization network operations centre, and direction of the spare parts would be performed by the faculty of Huawei.

The statement said Mr Tony Dolton, Chief Technology Officer of Vodafone Ghana, signed on behalf of his outfit while Mr Simon Xie, Vice President of West Africa of Huawei, signed on behalf of his company.

It notable that the partnership provides Vodafone Ghana with a long-term sustainable operating model, reducing its operating expenses and enabling the manipulator to concentrate further on providing more attractive new services to its customers.

The network operations agreement also guarantees the operation and character of Vodafone network, which is exploited by multiple vendors across the country.

It said under the management service agreement, a bit of Vodafone Ghana employees would be re-employed by Huawei in similar roles and received cutting-edge training on new processes, technology and tools that would be introduced by Huawei.

The statement described the honor of the managed services contract to Huawei is a significant milestone in merging the target of providing a superior network to Vodafone customers in Ghana.

"In selecting Huawei we have combined their product creation with an extensive education and development plan for employees, so that Vodafone delivers the better network with the best products and services with the best people", it added.

It notable that the party would concentrate on up the network quality and operational efficiency to further allow Vodafone to pay attention to providing its customers with the latest mobile and fixed services with excellent network quality.
